The Sutton Companies inaugurated its history of real estate development in the mid-1970’s with completion of construction and leasing of the first hospital-based medical office building in the Syracuse area. An integral part of this development was the establishment of the first dedicated one-day outpatient surgery center in the Northeast.

Since that time, Sutton has pioneered many innovative projects, primarily involving development of medical and adult care facilities. These have included privately owned one-day surgery centers, skilled nursing facilities, adult care residences, primary care clinics, and medical office buildings.

Senior staff have proven experience in the development of a wide range of projects, start-up operations, turnaround and redevelopment, marketing, and day-to-day management. The Sutton Companies have a long-standing relationship with the New York State Department of Health and the Division of Housing and Community Renewal.
